Just outside of Savannah, Georgia in Effingham County, is where plantation life, slave life and rural life operated. It was far from elegant and in many respects was the harshest of life. The Gnann farm & cemetery survive in some respects as a testament to the hardships of loss but also the survival. Hardly glorious but the handful of slave shanties from 1810 are total rarities in their withstanding the harsh passing of time but remain for us to explore and enjoy. With the assistance of the Savannah Institute of Paranormal Research, you will be introduced to a variety of ghost hunting equipment and will have opportunity to indulge your ambitions to experience phenomenon and learn about paranormal field research. All done under the beautiful, star filled night sky of rural Georgia countryside! Visitors will be broken down into teams and assigned different tasks over the course of a few hours. No "front-loading" of information will take place to keep investigation pure but a "reveal" will be done around a large open fire pit near close of event for sharing and comparing findings. Participants may bring their own equipment and video cameras & photography are very much encouraged. As this is an outdoor event one should research in advance and dress accordingly. There will be some side services provided by Mystic Maidens like card & pendulum readings, reiki therapy but these are independent vendors with their own costs. This event is for mature audiences & parental discretion is advised. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to call us!
