Harry Potter Event: Flourish & Blotts July 15, 2005

The celebration will reach its peak from 10 p.m. onward at Flourish & Blotts Bookseller, commonly known as River City Books (306 Division Street South). At 10 p.m., the bookstore will host a Harry Potter Release Party in the vacant property next door (the old Bagel Brothers location). From 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., there will be a Harry Potter costume contest for children under 15 with River City Books gift certificates for five winners. From 11 p.m. to midnight, there will be special Harry Potter readings. Refreshments will be served.

At precisely 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, the bookstore will open its doors to officially begin the sale of ?Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince.? Orders for the book received by July 9 will receive a 30% discount off the cover price. Anyone who has not reserved a copy will still be able to save 25% off the cover price at this special event. The discounts also apply to audio book versions. There will be a free giveaway of Harry Potter-related books to the first one hundred customers who buy the book at River City Books.
