Harry Kollatz, Jr., author of Richmond in Ragtime, takes us back to 1909-1911, when muckracking agitator Adon A. Yoder was beaten up, jailed and sued for trying to clean up Richmond and the Shockoe red light district. Learn about courageous suffragists, automobile endurance contests, airplane exhibitions, strange deaths and fatal love triangles. This is your grandfather’s Richmond.
