Harcsa Veronika Quartet December 11, 2009

A great concert by the youngest jazz-diva and her excellent quartet, who has gained enormous popularity in Japan, and also in Europe lately. This is their last performance in the city till March.


Veronika Harcsa, who is of charming beauty and a voice of stunning experience, started off with studying piano and saxophone to continue after seven years with vocals. The young girl studying jazz singing at the moment easily moves easily from one style to another, from the world of classical standards to contemporary rock and funk like with the Erik Sumo Band, or can even be heard in elektro-country, alternatíve-rock, classic-theatric pieces.

The first album by the quartet titled Speak Low was released in 2005, and the qurtet has been working on its second album lately.
