Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, invites audiences of all ages to a musical journey through the greatest hits from the Doo Wop era with Collectables recording artist, Harbor Lights. On Friday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 28 at 2:30 p.m., Harbor Lights’ stirring a cappella renditions of Under the Boardwalk, The Lion Sleeps Tonight and My Girl will transport audiences back to a more simple, romantic time when life was far less complicated.
The fun begins as the curtain goes up. Audiences will be amazed by the vocal performances of the group; surprised by the realization that there is no instrumental accompaniment. Harbor Lights’ unique vocal arrangements bring tunes together seamlessly, treating audiences to remarkable renditions of songs from The Drifters, The Platters, The Coasters, The Diamonds, The Earls, The Skyliners, The Del Vikings, The Penguins, The Harptones, The Temptations, The Tokens, The 5 Satins, The Belmonts, The Ronettes and The Chantels. As they move through the show, Harbor Lights folds the history of the music into their presentation and invite the audience to become part of the show.
Harbor Lights are Collectables‘ recording artists, the largest distributor of vintage music in the country. They have three albums internationally distributed, Almost Acappella, Absolutely Acappella and The Next Level. Harbor Lights are comprised of five seasoned entertainers, George Carl, Dave Mitchell, Cheryl De Rosier, Jimmy Calinski and Fernando Rodriguez. Each of the members of the group have impressive credentials: performances at The White House, the 100th Olympiad in Atlanta, live international broadcasts on Voice of America, and tours in Europe to entertain US troops. The group came together 10 years ago to become Harbor Lights.
