The life and music of rock 'n' roll icon Janis Joplin will explode on stage at The Cabooze at the fourth annual 'Happy Birthday Janis!' Guests will see a plethora of talented local musicians from over 10 different bands come together to pay tribute to the music legend. The show stars vocalist Jill Mikelson, who played Janis Joplin in the Ordway Center's performance of 'Love, Janis,' and features vocalists Stephanie Devine, Debra G, Katy Hays, Jessica Johnson, Monica Heuser and Bettina Villamil. The supporting band features members of God Johnson, Absolut Gruv, Fancy Bastard, Soap, Basement Sun, Cymatic and Hyentyte. The show will open with Thursday jammers the Saints of Circumstance, who will give a whirlwind tour of the SanFran sound: Jefferson Airplane, It's A Beautiful Day, Hot Tuna and Sly.
