Hanna Satterlee, the latest recipient of the Flynn Centers New Arts Space Assistant (N.A.S.A.) Grant, premieres her workin-progress group dance piece Welcome Home. Since September, Satterlee has been researching the potential for a professional dance scene to exist here in Vermont. The grant has given her time to first find residents that have structured their lives here around dancing, and further given space to create movement and ideas inspired by the landscape and lifestyle of a state not focused on the art of movement. Satterlee has been working with a rotating group of dancers over the course of 10 weeks, providing movement assignments, choreographing, and directing in a wholly collaborative effort. The evening will be short and informal, offering a sneak peek of what 10 artists created together over the 10-week grant period. Follow her process on the Flynns blogwww.flynncenter.blogspot.com. The next N.A.S.A. application deadline will be Monday, February 7.Visit the Flynn website at www.flynncenter.org/nasa.html for more information and an application.Location: Flynn Space.Cost: $5 suggested donation at the door.
