Hampshire - waving the flag for our Armed Forces in Winchester on Monday 25 June 2012
Join us for a memorable and colourful morning as Hampshire starts a week of activity showing its support for our Armed Forces.
The Armed Forces Flag Raising Ceremony in Winchester is the place to be.
Celebrate with representatives of all three armed services marching behind a military band, watched by flag-waving schoolchildren, veterans and reservists.
The lunchtime celebrations begin at 11.45 with a selection of music played by the Band of the Royal Corps of Signals at the Buttercross in the centre of Winchester’s High Street.
At 12.35 pm the band will lead a marching contingent of 45 service personnel up the full length of the High Street to The Great Hall, Castle Avenue, where the Armed Forces Flag will be raised at 13.00
