Such a peaceful environment deters raucous dancing, but the mingling patrons exude an air of bonhomie. This Lower East Side arriviste attracts the Bowery’s artsy crowd who come for the relatively inexpensive drinks and lack of exclusion. Antik tends to book-up rapidly for private events on the weekends, redirecting many an unaware guest to the pub-like King’s Cross just across the street. Karaoke fans swarm the Antik for Tuesday Karaoke Night, but on other weekdays patrons can kick back with $8-10 beers and cocktails.
