Decor
ASPEN was designed by the celebrated team of Steve Lewis and Chris Sheffield of SLDesign (Marquee, Butter, HOME). The decor combines rustic details such as Aspen birch and original barn wood, with modern elements such as Lucite deer heads and porcelain antler chandeliers.
The Bar & Lounge
Upon entering ASPEN you are instantly transported through a snow ladenforest. A long wooden bar welcomes patrons offering libations both traditional and modern. The restaurant boasts a sensual feel combining the ambiance of a cozy retro ski lodge with modern day accents. The front lounge area features wood-paneled walls (taken from a 19th-century barn inScranton, Pennsylvania), long brown leather banquettes, and hand-blown lightfixtures, while three Lucite deer heads hang behind the copper-topped bar.Aspen Birch, original barn wood details, chunky wood tables and a roundworking fireplace in combination with modern designs such as porcelainantler fixtures all work together to bring patrons a distinctly memorableexperience.
Dining Room
The 110-seat dining room is decorated in white, with an oversize, elevatedworking fireplace which doubles as a water element in the summer, largewhite leather banquets, glass columns, and a painted tree mural-inspired bythe trees in Aspen, Colorado-on the walls.
Gonzo Room
A private dining room named for Hunter S. Thompson, the Gonzo Room seats 16 for dinner and has its own entrance, bathroom and bar. With fire engine redfloors, quotes and drawings from Hunter himself, it is an eclectic take onwhat a room in his house might look like.
