Hal Cannon has spent his life playing music, including 30 years with Utah's beloved Deseret String Band, and his unique take on the American West is informed as well by his work as a folklorist, the Founding Director of the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, and a regular voice on National Public Radio.
