Hailing from Austin, Texas, Hairy Apes BMX is known for an exciting sound that melds unique instrumentation with rock music to create its own niche in the "post-modern experimental groove revolution." Mike Dillon is well known for his extensive work with Les Claypool, Ani Difranco, Hairy Apes BMX, Garaj a Trois, Critters Buggin and many others. All three musicians played together in the past, in the infamous TX band known as Billygoat. This new brainchild of Mike Dillon features a focus on funky grooves, but doesn't totally shed the freaky experimentalist nature that has been one of Mike's trademarks through the years.
