Haggen, the Bellingham-based grocery company announced that its new store concept will open in the Crossroads area of Bellevue on November 16, at the
site of the former Top Foods. The store marks the first stage of a company-wide rebranding effort that seeks to introduce the Haggen philosophy of “Northwest Fresh” it has cultivated in Bellingham to its other stores throughout the region with a core focus on the ideals of homemade, delight and community.
The new store will open November 16, marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning (11 am). Grand Opening festivities will continue through November 19. Some of the activities over the four-day celebration include contests and giveaways, live cooking demos and a fill the Mayflower foodbank drive, to name a few.
The public is invited to take part in these activities and encouraged to visit the store’s unique web (http://www.haggen.com/bellevue/ ) page for exclusive online coupons and offers, including an opportunity to win gift cards in the amounts of between $25 - $500.
Activities for the community taking place throughout the day include: live music from Interlake High School Jazz band, a radio remote with Spirit 105.3, a variety of free giveaways, including free homemade Dot’s original cake, and special guest appearances from local community leaders and representatives from the Bellevue Fire Department.
Additional activities will continue over the weekend, including a number of kid-friendly activities and family-focused fun.
