The London Hackspace project is working to create a permanent space in London where people can make and learn things.
We run fortnightly free hack events where we come together and work on our projects, fuelled by beer and pizza. Anyone is welcome to come along and hack, or just turn up for a drink and a chat!
We meet at The Hub in Islington; The Hub is a splendid co-working space just round the corner from Angel tube station.
Lots of electronics gear will be available as usual.
The workshop this week will be from RJ (http://www.metabrew.com), who will be doing an introduction to Erlang. If you want to follow along, it's worth downloading and installing the Erlang VM beforehand:

Drinks will be provided in return for a donation to our cause.

If you're using OSX you should be using Homebrew to install Erlang ;) - http://github.com/mxcl/homebrew
Except the latest Homebrew formula for Erlang uses R13B02-1 so I doubt it works.

Worth noting for those who installing Erlang: There are a bunch of reports of installation problems with building Erlang R13B02-1 from source on OS X and others (I had to resort to using R13B01)
