Haak-MacNab is a Euro-American duo of drums and strings that explores the progressive possibilities in rock, funk and jazz. Haak-MacNab’s songs are funky powergrooves that feature tight, feel-good hooks and a symphonic feel.

Haak-MacNab is a duo that sounds like a traditional rock band of three or four. Discmakers describes HM as “a herd of elephants coming right at you” and audiences of all ages and genders thoroughly enjoy themselves. The music has a progressive rock influence, yet the songs stay short and fun and rely on groove. Like the love child of System of a Down, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and King Crimson, Haak-MacNab is fun and intelligent music without being too long or self-congratulating. Kudos include having their song, Live from Beijing, finish as Second-Runner-Up in a theme-song submission for the USA’s National Football League.
