Author Cam Trowbridge will present his book entitled Marconi: Father of Wireless, Grandfather of Radio, Great-Grandfather of the Cell Phone, The Story of the Race to Control Long-Distance Wireless.
This book is an in-depth biography that focuses on the inventor Guglielmo Marconi as a businessman/entrepreneur and on the global race that took place in an effort to dominate and control wireless technology. Marconi, the “father of radio and radar” created an industry dominating enterprise that would last for over a quarter of a century. Utilizing important though little-used documents, the author has brought a new perspective to the scientific life and business times of Guglielmo Marconi, proving why Marconi is considered to be one of the most influential people in our history.
Calvin D. (Cam) Trowbridge Jr., is a graduate of Yale and Harvard Law School. He has practiced as a corporate partner in prestigious law firms and he was the chief operating officer of two New York law firms. Presently he owns an international head hunting firm for lawyers.
