This January 10th - 26th, a group of fourteen University of Delaware students will be traveling to Mazatenango, Guatemala with the organization Partners in Development to help a local indigenous village build a house, construct water filters, and promote fun and education through children's programs at the local school.
We need YOUR help to fund the cost of the supplies we will be donating to these people so on Friday, December 4th, we will be having a fundraiser at Homegrown Cafe on East Main Street.
For $5 we will be selling raffle tickets at the door and everyone will be entered to win from variety of prizes from stores on Main Street and around the area such as Iron Hill, Village Imports, Newark Deli and Bagels, Clothes in the Past Lane, and many more! Everyone who donates will receive something small.
Please stop by to donate and talk with our group about our trip, and enjoy the always amazing food and drinks from Homegrown as well as the live music from the Alfred James Band!
Hope to see you there!
