Guanyin Personified: Focus on Asian Art January 16, 2008

The Buddhist God of compassionate wisdom, Guanyin, takes on different guises throughout Asia. This exhibit features a large-scale 17th-18th-century lacquered Vietnamese wood image. In addition, approximately 15 additional sculptures and images from the museum collections present the deity's representations in Asia.
