200 W Marshall St
Richmond, Virginia 23220

RVA showcasing the donated works of local artists that have been inspired by women. These inspirational women range from grandmothers to rockstars… and who said your grandmother wasn’t a rockstar?

Girls Rock! RVA is a Richmond-based collective whose purpose is to empower girls and women through music education, because every girl should be confident in her own voice. Since the creation of Portland, Oregon’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls in 2001, over 30 affiliated camps have started in major cities across the US and Europe.

There will be information for upcoming showings of Girls Rock! The Movie, a documentary featuring Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney and other rad women rockers with an insider perspective into empowering women and girls to collaborate musically and co-create through the arts.

The proceeds of the art sales will contribute to the organizing and creation of rock camps for women, young women and girls in Richmond. Please join us to build community and see artwork inspired by and created by great women. We can’t wait to see you there!

On display until Friday, June 24th
