Do you get anxious in anticipation of social events or performance situations and worry about appearing incompetent, weird, weak, unintelligent, awkward, or anxious? Do you experience heart pounding, blushing, shaking, sweating, dry throat, or “blanking out” in these situations? If so, our Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) group for Social Anxiety may be right for you. In our CBT groups, participants learn to identify and shift unhealthy thinking patterns to face their fears. Participants engage at their own pace.
The group meets weekly on Mondays at 5:30-7:00pm from May 4th, 2009 through June 22nd, 2009.
Registration is required. To schedule a one-hour individual consultation session to see if this group is right for you please call the Psychological Clinic (764-3471).
Free parking at the UM Church Street structure.
