Grimace Federation CD Release January 20, 2007

After forming as a trio in 2002, Grimace Federation has reached critical sonic mass as a mostly instrumental sextet with two drummers, two guitarists, vibraphone and fretless bass. The Philadelphia group brings together jazz, indie-rock and hip-hop for a kitchen sink approach that crosses genres in service of dynamics, musicality and the almighty groove. Explosive live shows and sophisticated recordings reveal subtle layers of rhythm, telepathic interplay, cinematic texture, inventive chord structures and intriguing samples.

This will be the debut of Grimace Federations first full- length release, Tasted By Chemists. They will be performing a very special version of the record in its entirety as well as a few new numbers. The show will include special guest musicians and stunning visuals. The album, which features indie-rap icon Aesop Rock and the mighty Antibalas Horns, will be available for sale that night.
