GRI-certified Sustainability Reporting Course February 5, 2009

The prevalence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability reporting is growing and has converged around the GRI framework. LEAD Canada, the first GRI-certified Training Partner of GRI in North America, offers intensive, 2-day training courses developed in accordance with GRI’s specifications. After this course, you will have demonstrable knowledge in:

• Context, drivers & best practice of sustainability reporting
• Key steps involved in GRI’s reporting process
• Use of GRI’s materiality & reporting principles
• Role, prioritization and engagement of stakeholders
• Linkages between GRI and Global Compact
• Application level assessment and external assurance

Participants will receive course completion certificates directly from GRI. This short course is targeted at professional report makers and users. These include those involved in CSR, engagement, sustainability reporting, benchmarking, assurance and disclosure. The course will provide hands-on guidance to new sustainability reporters and further improve the practices of experienced GRI reporters in line with best practice, shareholder and stakeholder expectations.
