The opening ceremony of Meet in Beijing 2008 will appear the choreographer and the dancers of the Ceremony of the Flame in Olympia.And in the end of the concert, the choreographer will make anotherceremony in order to pass the flame of the Olympics to Chinese people.The concert will end up in a group of Greek and Chinese musiciansimprovising on the “five-tone” musical scale, which is common in themusic traditions of both countries.

Themusic and dances will be accompanied by the projection of images andvideos, representing the different periods of the Greek musicalheritage.

This performance of Greek traditional music and dances will bring theChinese audience in contact with the richness and the variety of one ofthe most ancient musical civilizations, with a continuous heritage ofmore than 2,5 millennia.
