Greenpeace LA February Meeting February 17, 2010

Join the Greenpeace LA crew for our monthly meeting, and help us kick off our CHEMICAL SECURITY campaign! This spring, we'll be organizing around the country to pass comprehensive chemical security legislation to protect communities across the US who live with a chemical facility in their backyard.

Did you know that California has 45 dangerous facilities that together put over 42,000,000 people at risk??

28 facilities in California have converted to safer alternatives, removing
6,000,000 people from vulnerability zones. We can pass national legislation to require even more facilities around the country to convert to safer alternatives-come learn how to be a part of our organizing efforts to urge our very own Senator Barbara Boxer to champion this issue in the Senate!

Oh yeah, and don't forget that as always, there will be fabulous people and tasty snacks :)
