Greetings Greenpeace friends,
In our efforts to ensure that the Los Angeles City Council commits to a coal-free Los Angeles by 2020, we are rolling out an exciting Lobby Training for our next monthly meeting on Wednesday February 16th!
Lobbying plays an essential role in influencing the decisions made by elected officials. In this case, our goals are to share our knowledge and concerns with members of Los Angeles City Council over how detrimental burning coal is to our future and ask them to lead the nation in a clean energy revolution by getting Los Angeles off coal by 2020.
At the Lobby Training, we will teach you all the essentials such as: how to set up a meeting with your local city council member, what materials to bring, what questions to ask and not ask, etc. This will all get you ready for our Lobby Day of Action set to happen in early March.
We need you to help us send a powerful message to our members of City Council that we must kick coal out of Los Angeles once and for all!
Please join us (and bring a friend!)
RSVP Today!
We are in the small shopping plaza next to Bank of America. Parking in our lot is available. We are 2 blocks north on Vermont from the Metro Red Line.
See you then!
