The premier sustainability event in the local area will celebrate its 4th year in 2012 and has taken on a new name – Green Fest Southlake! This one-of-a-kind, one day only experience takes place on March 24, 2012 in Southlake Town Square’s Rustin Park. This FREE event will offer opportunities for attendees to meet more than 30 green and socially-responsible businesses showcasing their products and services. Green Fest Southlake will help empower people to live healthier lives—socially, economically and environmentally.
Attendees can expect to see the latest in energy-efficient solutions for the home and business, what and how to recycle, non-toxic home products and décor. Entertainment, including a visit from Radio Disney, will be on-going throughout the day in the Pavilion and raffle tickets will be sold to win great prizes donated by area businesses. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and prizes include a tent donated by REI, a recycling bin from Home Depot, gift cards, large baskets of green products and much more.
Additionally, students kindergarten through 6th grade are encouraged to collect juice pouches for a chance to win an Apple iPad. Also, a crowd favorite, the scavenger hunt will be back! Kids K through 6 will have another chance to win an iPad by completing a 10-question card at the event. Two tickets will be drawn at the end of the event and those lucky winners will each receive an Apple iPad, donated by Natex Architects.
