Set during World War I, 'Great War Chronicle' is a dynamic and compelling work of musical theater, exploring love's challenges in the midst of wartime. An elderly woman tells her grandchildren of her early years with their grandfather in a story that unfolds through music, song and historic imagery.
Written by musician and songwriter Glenn Siegel, this rock opera includes blues tunes and soft sweet ballads in an intimate and energetic theatrical experience. 6th Street Playhouse presents a rare opportunity to see a professionally produced workshop production of the new musical “Great War Chonicle” written by a noted Bay Area composer, featuring a romantic story set against a historical backdrop.
