Great Books, Great Movies features classic works of literature translated to film in the Williamsburg Regional Librarys ongoing Thursday Afternoon Film Series. The movies will be shown in the Williamsburg Library Theatre, 515 Scotland Street, at 2 p.m. every Thursday in June. They are free of charge and tickets or reservations are not required. The picaresque adventures of young David Copperfield are vividly brought to life in this engaging version of Charles Dickens famous novel. David O. Selznick assembled a top notch cast including W.C. Fields, Lionel Barrymore, Basil Rathbone, Maureen OSullivan, Freddiie Bartholomew and Edna May Oliver under the inspired direction of George Cukor.
