This year’s conference theme, “The Year of Dangerous Minds”, celebrates creative risk-taking. It explores the boldness of larger-than-life revolutionaries who redraw the boundaries with their own personal line in the sand and whose shock waves often reverberate well beyond their own disciplines.



As always, the GRAVITY FREE speaker list will include a broad mix of architects, product designers, urban planners, innovation strategists, experience designers, screen writers, graphic designers, authors, aeronautical designers, scientists, automotive designers, retail designers, and visionaries of every stripe. Upsetters of apple carts. Boat rockers. Rule breakers. They all share a cheeky disregard for conventional opinion and status quo. Their uncompromising passion for what they believe makes them, in a word, dangerous.



Some of the speakers have not yet been announced, but you should know that a conversation with any of them will inspire you. And you'll have access to every one. You'll get to know world-famous design legends in open discussions, over lunch, and at receptions, to talk design for a solid two and a half days. That's why this conference exists.



We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner again with the iconic Museum of Science and Industry, which last year gave our conferees a private, pre-opening tour of a major new exhibit. This year, the museum is the site of the entire conference. What better surroundings than the richly experiential exhibits that have fired millions of imaginations?
