Gravity Burn hails from Atlanta, GA and was formed by drummer Josh Hack and guitarist Mike Buffa. Both have played in several top Atlanta bands and in the fall of ‘06 the concept of what was to become Gravity Burn was formed. They began writing arrangements and practicing as much as they could to lay the ground work for the future band. The search for a vocalist began sometime in October of ‘06. After an extensive and very exhaustive search they stumbled on an ad from female vocalist Magdalena Ollar. Magda had just relocated to the United States from her home in Poland with little more than a dream of finding the right band. Demos were exchanged and it soon became clear that she had found the sound that she was looking for and Josh and Mike had found the new lead singer for Gravity Burn. The band began writing and rehearsing in December of ‘06. In April of ‘07 they moved to a permanent rehearsal space at Avatar Studios and began the search for a bass player. With the addition of bassist Adam Holcomb sometime around August of ‘07, Gravity Burn was complete. Within a few weeks the band recorded its first demo at Virtuo Studios in Marietta, GA. Word of the new band spread quickly and in Sept of ‘07 before the band had played its first show, the band had begun to receive radio airplay being a featured break-out band on The Project 96.1. What followed next was an extremely fast ascent to the top of the Atlanta music scene. Endorsements have begun to roll in from manufacturers such as Sonor Drums, Silverfox Drumsticks, Spector Basses, X/2 Digital Wireless, and more are expected
