Graveyard 5K Run & Walk October 25, 2003

This community event will support continued improvements to Kansas City's most unique resting place. Elmwood Cemetery - officially founded in 1872 with graves dating back to the 1840's - is without question one of our city's most historical outdoor assets.

The Graveyard 5K Run and Family Walk route will pass through the Elmwood Cemetery and surrounding neighborhood (along Van Brunt Boulevard, Truman Road and Hardesty Avenue); the 5K Run & Family Walk will conclude alongside the Bell Tower on the Beautiful campus of the Saint Paul School of Theology. Participants are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume appropriate for a Graveyard Run & Walk!
