Spanning the rich history of our region's fundamental contributions to the industry, the exhibition will look at graphic design from five themed areas: typography and early printing; commerce and graphic design; the graphic designer; war posters and political messaging; and contemporary, animated and interactive design. In addition to hundreds of objects from the Albany Institute's renowned collections -- including posters, broadsides, package designs, paintings, decorative arts, historical photographs, computer interactives and more -- the exhibit will also feature select works from regionally and nationally recognized graphic designers and illustrators.
