This workshop is intended to be an introduction to the world of non-profit organizations and grants. It will deal with the structures and organizational components which a non-profit organization should have in place before it starts looking for grants, an overview of the funding research process for those seeking grants from foundations, corporations or grant-making public charities, highlighting the electronic and print resources available in the Ahearn Business Center at the Broome County Public Library, and will offer tips on how to best identify funding sources for non-profit organizations. Finally, the workshop will include a demonstration of the Foundation Directory Online which provides information on more than 91,000 grant-makers and more than a million grant records. Registration is required. Please call 778-6451 or stop by the Reference Desk.
