Grant Park Music Festival: A Child of Our Time July 23, 2010

The late English composer and pacifist Sir Michael Tippett's bold and massive choral work, written during the Second World War, explores an act of Jewish resistance to the Nazis. Among the piece's influences are African American spirituals and Bach.
