The David Wills House, opening in February 2009, is the first National Park Service museum dedicated to the aftermath of the Battle of Gettysburg. Visitors can learn about the heroism of the town's own citizens after 165,000 soldiers left town and the monumental visit by Abraham Lincoln to deliver the Gettysburg Address.
Winter operating hours will be Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In spring and fall, the hours will be Tuesdays through Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In summer, the hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week. On Feb. 12, admission will be free to all. Regular entrance fees will be $6.50 for adults; $5.50 for seniors; $4.00 for youth (6-18); and children 5 and under are free.
