The Grand Central Partnership will host their annual neighborhood restaurant showcase Grand Gourmet – The Flavor of Midtown® on Thursday, May 10th, 2012 from 7 PM – 9:30 PM in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall (East 42nd Street at Park Ave.) Net proceeds from the event help to support the Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation, an independent not-for-profit homeless services provider in Midtown Manhattan,
This year’s event will feature 37 restaurants and food purveyors offering food, unique desserts and beverages that showcase the best in Midtown, New York dining. Locally made New York foods including Li-Lac Chocolates’ Hazelnut Truffle and Marzipan squares made in Sunset Park, Grand Central’s Beer Table Pantry’s own “table beer”, and Wagner Vineyards’ wine from the Finger Lakes will be just some of the local products available on hand.
The 2012 Event Chair is Grand Central Partnership Board Member Mark C. Grossich, Owner/Chief Executive of Hospitality Holdings, which owns Bookmarks and The Campbell Apartment, both represented that evening.
Participating restaurants and food purveyors include Alfama, American Girl Place NY Café, Ammos Estiatorio, Aretsky’s Patroon, The Barclay Bar & Grill, Benjamin Steakhouse at the Dylan Hotel, Bice Ristorante, Bobby Van’s Steakhouse, Beer Table Pantry, Bookmarks, Café Centro, The Campbell Apartment, Ciao Bella, Cibo, Dee Daa, Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant, JOE, Kellari Taverna, La Fonda Del Sol, Lexington Brass, Li-Lac Chocolates, The Long Room, Magnolia Bakery, Michael Jordan’s The Steak House N.Y.C., Murray’s Cheese Shop, Naples 45, The National, New York Central at the Grand Hyatt, Nios, O’Casey’s, Pera Mediterranean Brasserie, Pershing Square, Ruby Foo’s Times Square, Salute!, silverleaf tavern at the 70 Park Avenue Hotel, St. Andrew’s, Triomphe, Tulsi, Valbella, Wagner Vinyards and The Wheeltapper Pub.
