The Rice County Historical Society's (RCHS) Spring Banquet will be held beginning with a social hour at 5 p.m. May 13 at the Faribault American Legion Post 43, 112 NE Fifth St. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Former Minnesota Gov. Al Quie will be speaking and signing copies of his book, "Riding the Divide." Quie will share stories about the experience in a presentation at 7 p.m. He will be available to sign copies of his book during the social hour and following his program. The banquet is $15 per person, $12.50 for RCHS members.
"Riding the Divide" chronicles Quie's ride by horseback along the Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico.
