As a permanent reminder of the grandeur of the passenger vessels that steamed the Great Lakes, the seven and a half tons of carved oak places you in the varnished, gilded, brassy, stained glass heyday at the turn of the century. The heavy woodwork was designed to make the passengers feel like they were staying in luxury hotel.
