After the action packed, sold-out season opener between the Manhattan Mayhem and Bronx Gridlock (79-76) at the Schwartz Center in downtown Brooklyn, the league is now unleashing the ultimate in rivalries - Brooklyn vs. Queens. Brooklyn had a hard season in 2005, but they have dropped anchor and are ready to to defend their borough against the dominating 2006 Undefeated Champions - the Queens of Pain. No matter who you are rooting for, you need to witness this match-up...or suffer the consequences. Better bring your white flag to surrender - or your riding crop for the opposite. Whatever.

WHEN'S THE NEXT BATTLE??
We may have a place to crash for our first few games, but we are still hunting for a regular practice and bouting location, along with the search for sponsors to help bring you more derby action.

In order to skate in the LIU-Brooklyn venue, GGRD had to spring for a portable protective floor to cover LIU's existing fancy basketball court surface. This required a *huge* chunk of change (many thousands of dollars). If you know of a business or individual who would be interested in sponsoring sections of the floor, please let us know.
