Created by The California Science Center, Goose Bumps! The Science of Fear presents the many sides of the universal and powerful emotion of fear. Enter the immersive rooms of the Challenge Course and test yourself against four common fears – the Fear of Animals, the Fear of Electric Shock, the Fear of Loud Noises, and the Fear of Falling. Avoid the gaze of a prowling leopard in a full-body video game as you learn about the evolutionary importance of the freeze response. Experience social fear as you come face-to-face with a virtual crowd and learn about the common fears associated with public speaking and other social situations. Observe how fear changes over a lifetime and learn simple ways to combat stress.
