GoodReads.com Workshop
Monday, May 24th, 2010 - Two meetings at the Main Library: 10-11 a.m., before the Library opens to the general public, and 6:30 p.m. Hayward Public Library, 835 C St. @ Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94541 (2 blocks from Hayward BART)
Goodreads.com is the largest social network for readers in the world. More than 3,100,000 members have added more than 82,000,000 books to their shelves. A place for casual readers and bona-fide bookworms alike, Goodreads members recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they’ve read and would like to read, join book clubs and much more.
Are you interested in learning how to create a free account on GoodReads.com? Or are you a member of the Mostly Literary Fiction Book Group at the Hayward Public Library, and want to participate in online discussions with other book group members? Or maybe you’re just curious to see what this social networking site is all about. Librarian and book group leader Sally Thomas will show you how the site works, help you create an account, add books and reviews to “bookshelves,” and show you how to network with other readers. For more information, contact Sally Thomas at sally.thomas@hayward-ca.gov or call 510-881-7700
