Mark Madama and Wayne Bryan's adaptation of the musical by Laurence Schwab, B. G. DeSylva, Frank Mandel, Lew Brown, and Ray Henderson. The football rivalry between Tait College and Colton is in full swing when team captain Tom Marlowe flunks his astronomy exam. In order to stay on the team, Tom must pass the make-up test-and for that he needs the help of a tutor named Connie. Tom and Connie quickly fall for each other, much to the anger of Tom's current girlfriend, Patricia. And Patricia is not about to let go of Tom without a fight. Some of the songs include, "My Lucky Star," "The Varsity Drag," and "Button Up Your Overcoat."
