Good Mews Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Open House
Please join us on Saturday, October 4, from 1-4 PM at Good Mews to celebrate our 20th birthday. Our founder, Gloria Skeen will be on hand to share the memories of her first efforts in establishing the first no-cage, no-kill cat shelter in Georgia. You will also have the opportunity to meet our new Executive Director, Brianna McKeller. Please join us to meet both these ladies to reminisce about the dream that was conceived twenty years ago and to see the vision that lies ahead. Refreshments, shelter tours, and door prizes will be available. Volunteers will be on hand to discuss ways you can help our growing organization.
Good Mews is a local non-profit organization that shelters and adopts homeless, abused and abandoned cats. Located at 736 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta, the shelter operates through the efforts of hundreds of volunteers who are committed to the practice of spaying and neutering to help reduce the pet overpopulation problem. We also promote public awareness regarding the value of pets, animal welfare, and quality human-animal companionship through educational and outreach programs.
