Journalist Bill Milkowski called Gongzilla simply mind-boggling. The group is a mass of contradictions in perfect balance. A band with international roots (USA, Quebec, Philippines); GZ has a reputation for concise songs and transcendent jams. All this emanates from the fusion origins of Bon Lozaga and Hansford Rowe who met while playing in one of the idioms seminal groups Gong. In 1995, Bon Lozaga and Hansford Rowe decided to tinker further with the petri dish that was Gong, and begat a further evolution that has been a hallmark of the band's history.

Formed in the Spring of 2006, Bodega is quickly becoming known as a serious young force in the jamband scene. Members Nick Bockrath (guitar), Peter Madonna (guitar), Steve Lyons (upright/electric bass), and Jeremy Worthington (drums/percussion) shared a vision of creating a group with an emphasis on danceable grooves, developed compositions, and positive vibes.
