Nathan Baker is Lesser Lights. He writes songs that are "invested with a quiet grace and emotional power" and sings with a voice that resonates like a vintage instrument of its own. His heroes are storytellers and he draws from the lyrical traditions of country and folk singers like John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Martin, Richard Buckner, and Faron Young. Recently he recorded an EP with Aaron Prellwitz (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon) called One Day in May.
