“Glory Days: A Bruce Springsteen Symposium” September 13, 2012

The University of Southern Indiana, Monmouth University, and Penn State Altoona will offer the 2012 “Glory Days: A Bruce Springsteen Symposium” September 14-16 at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.
Bruce Springsteen has produced a considerable body of original work that has impacted the direction of popular music and American culture. His influence extends from the stage into the classroom, and his works have turned up in the syllabi of courses across the United States and around the world.

This symposium draws hundreds of educators, journalists, historians, musicologists, and fans interested in scholarship regarding Bruce Springsteen and his influence on American culture. It has also received national and international press coverage through The New York Times, The Boston Globe, the BBC, and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
