Technicolor changed how movies were made -- and how we looked at them. Hollywood Heritage president Marc Wanamaker will illustrate the invention of Technicolor and competing color processes through photos, from his Bison Archives collection, of behind-the-scenes Technicolor film making, Technicolor's Hollywood facilities, and more. A rare Technicolor camera used for GONE WITH THE WIND will also be on display. Fred E. Basten, author of "Glorious Technicolor: The Movies' Magic Rainbow; Ninetieth Anniversary Edition" will also be on-hand for a book-signing afterwards. The Hollywood Heritage Museum is inside the c. 1895 Lasky-DeMille Barn, across from Hollywood Bowl. Tickets sold at the door: Hollywood Heritage members $5, non-members $8. Refreshments available, FREE PARKING.
