Gloria Schabb: Alive and Kickin' April 6, 2011

Using her truly characteristic techniques of composition and color, Schabb paints 4 x 6 in. portraits of the elderly residents at the nursing home. These intimate paintings are based on photographs that Schabb takes of her senior friends who look intently into her camera and attempt to show Schabb "who they are; not who they were but who they still are."
