Global Garden: Dr Tom Swetnam July 23, 2009

"The Global Garden" speaker series presents Dr. Tom Swetnam, professor of dendrochronology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Swetnam reads tree rings to track temperature changes, droughts and fires throughout history. He's shown that warmer temperatures since the 80s have lengthened the fire season by more than two months and sparked four times more fires.
