"Global Development through Aid, Partnerships, Trade and Education: Recommendations from Global Washington”.
Please join us for the official release of Global
Washington’s policy paper “Global Development through
Aid, Partnerships, Trade and Education: Recommendations from Global Washington.”
In a climate in which the effectiveness and impact of
U.S. foreign assistance is increasingly debated, Global Washington convened 45 local experts representing the non-profit, business, government, and academic sectors to recommend a set of principles to guide U.S. foreign assistance.
As a featured speaker, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell
will join a panel discussion about the policy paper’s
recommendations, ways to strengthen U.S. foreign
assistance, and examples of successful development
partnerships in Washington State. Dr. Maura O'Neill, Chief Innovation Officer at USAID, will also be a guest speaker at the event.
Registration starts at 11:30 am and the program starts at 12:00 pm.
RSVP is required. Location details will be sent upon registration.
